Why do you get overuse injuries when training?
Well, it might have to do with a couple of things, one of those being your technique.
For example, if you are benching and are not getting your foundation set to bench and your shoulders are out of position, then next thing you know might have shoulder pain.
The question is, does your shoulder pain come from overuse or does it come from overdoing a movement in a suboptimal position.
In other words, your poor technique and form is limiting the load capacity of your movement and therefore, causing you to develop overuse injuries over time, because you are overloading specific muscles or joints more than they should be for a specific movement.
If this is the case, adjusting your form can potentially fix your problem.
